Chapter Summary:
The way you see your life is your life. For example, if you think life is a party, then your priority will be fun.
The Bible offers three approaches or metaphors that teach us what life is from the perspective of God (in this chapter discusses the first two, the last in the following):
- Life on earth is a test : we are preparing for eternal life, God tests our readiness to it.
- Life on Earth is a trust: God has given us time, our drive, intelligence, opportunities, resources, talents for which we must respond.
- Life is a temporary assignment (discussed in the next chapter)
